Flashing.

So I’m coming home from work tonight. I saw a car going opposite of me without their lights on. So I flash mine, hoping they’d see it and get the hint. I looked in my rear-view mirror. They didn’t.

About a mile down the road, a car gets behind me, again with no lights. But I can’t flash them, because they wouldn’t be able to see me! So I put my trust in the citizens driving in the opposite lane, hoping someone would flash this car to get them to turn their lights on. One car goes by… nothing. Maybe they didn’t notice. Another one, and another one goes by. Again, nothing. The whole time this car was behind me, NO ONE flashed at this car.

Conclusion: my faith in humanity had dropped ten-fold.
On the bright side: Last night, I forgot to turn my lights on, but the car diagonally in front of me caught my attention. I turned my lights on and gave a thank you wave. Faith in humanity restored. Only that happened before this happened, so it’s kind of opposite of restoration. Um… well, my point is… there ARE people (well, maybe A person) who will tell someone to turn their lights on as a courtesy to them, as well as for the safety of the public.

In other news, I’m hungry. If I eat, my stomach will hurt. But if I DON’T eat, my stomach will hurt.

Conclusion: lose-lose situations are most undesirable.
On the bright side: I will be asleep soon, so then it wouldn’t matter either way.

Conclusion to the conclusions: Always end on the bright side. Even if you have to reach for it – it helps reduce high blood pressure, as I’ve read high blood pressure is bad for you.
